Join us for a two hour masterclass in the beautiful Victorian Pelargonium Glasshouse, set within the Walled Garden at Water Lane.

We'll introduce you to the fascinating history of terrariums and explain how they work, after which you will create your own under expert guidance using responsibly sourced materials, handmade glass vessels and beautiful tropical plants.

Your creation will be yours to keep along with the knowledge and support to care for it.

About Water Lane

Nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the High Weald of Kent on the East Sussex Border, Water Lane is a working flower farm set within a beautiful walled garden and a collection of charming historic glasshouses.

Your session at Water Lane will be held in the Pelargonium House, a fully restored victorian glasshouse.

Getting to Water Lane

    Free on site parking is available for the duration of your visit.

  • Public Transport

    Water Lane is most easily accessed by car. If travelling by train, the nearest station is Etchingham approximately 6 miles to the west. You will need to book a taxi for the 15 minute journey to the walled garden.

  • Accessibility

    There is step free access for the full 20m route from the car park to the glasshouse. Please note that it is a loose gravel surface. The toilets do not have step free access.
